ಏನರೆ ಬರಿತಾನ್ರಿ ಪಾ

ಭಾಳ ದಿಣಗೋಳ ಆದು ಏನೂ  ಬರದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ಕೈ ಕೆರ್ಯಾಕತ್ತಿತ್ತು , ಅದಕ್ಕ ಏನರೆ ಗೀಚಿ ಬಿಡುನೂ  ಅಂತ ಅನಕೊಂಡೆನ್ ನೋಡ್ರಿಪಾ ... ತಲಿ ತಿಂಧಂಗ ಆಗತಿದ್ರು ಏನ್ ಮಾಡಕ್ ಆಗಂಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಯಾಕಂದ್ರ ನಾ ಏನ್ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪನ ಮನೀ ಗಂಟ ತಿಂದಿಲ್ಲ :-)

ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆಗಬ್ಯಾಡ್ರಿ ಪಾ, ಸುಮ್ಮ್ ಹಂಗ ಅನ್ನಿ... 

ಮದಿವಿ ಆತು, ಮಗಾ  ಆದ, ಮಣಿ, ಗಾಡಿ  ... ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆತು, ಆದ್ರ ಹಳಿ ಲೈಫ್ ಮರ್ತ ಬಿಟ್ನಲ್ಲಾ  ಅಂತ ತಲೀ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಹೋಗಿತ್ತು ... ಖರೆ, ಹೊಳ್ಳಿ ಬರಸಬಹುದು ಅಂತ ಸುದಕ   ಮರ್ತ್ ಹೋಗಿತ್ತ ನೋಡ್ರಿಪಾ ...

ಅದಕ್ಕ ಬಾಯನ ಹಲ್ಲ, ತಲ್ಯಾನ್ ಕೂದ್ಲ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಿತಗೊಂಡ ಹೋಗುದ್ರೊಳಗ ಉಳಸು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಅರೆ ಮಾಡುನು ? ಏನಂತೀರಿ ?

ತುಂಬ್ಯಾಡಿದ ನನ್ನ್ ಮಗಾ

ರಾತ್ರಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಒದ್ದಾಡಿ , ಕುಣಿದಾಡಿ , ಚೀರ್ಯಾಡಿ, ಆಟ ಆಡಿ ,ನನ್ನ್ ತೋಡಿ ಮ್ಯಾಲ ಉಚ್ಚಿ ಹೊಯ್ದು, ಆಕಡೆ ಈಕಡೆ ನೋಡ್ಕೊಂತ ,ಆಗೊಮ್ಮೆ ಈಗೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಕ್ಕ-ನಗಿಸ್ಕೊಂತ ಆಡಿದ್ದ ಆಡಿದ್ದು , ಆಡಿದ್ದ ಆಡಿದ್ದು ... ನನ್ನ ಮಗಾ ಆರ್ಯನ್ .

ಹೆಂಗೋ ಏನೋ ಮಾಡಿ, ಹಾಡಾ-ಗೀಡಾ ಹಾಡಿ ಜೋಳಿಗಿ ಒಳಗ ಹಾಕಿ, ಎಲ್ಲ ಥರಾ ಸರ್ಕಸ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಕಡೀಕು ಮಗನ್ನ ಮಲಗಿಸೆ ಬಿಟ್ನಿ ನೋಡ್ರಿ 

ಆಗ ಮುಗೀತು ನನ್ನ ಪಾಳೆ !!! ನನ್ನ ಮನ್ಯಾಕಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ನಿ , ನೋಡಪಾ ನಂಗಂತೂ ಖತರ್ನಾಕ್ ನಿದ್ದಿ ಬಂದೆತಿ, ಇನ್ನೆನರೆ ಅವ ಎದ್ದರ ನಿಂದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನೋಡ್. ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿ ನಾ ನಿದ್ದಿ ಮಾದಕತ್ತ್ನಿ.

ಆಹ ಏನ್ ನಿದ್ದಿ ಪಾ ಅದು, ೯ ವರ್ಷದ ಹಿಂದ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ದಾಗ M4 ಗೇಟ್ ಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಹಿಂತ ನಿದ್ದಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆ ನೋಡ್ರಿ. ಅಂದ್ರ ಅಷ್ಟ ಅಂಜಿಕಿ, ಯಾವಾಗ್ ಎಳ್ತಾನೋ ಏನ್ ಮಾಡ್ತಾನೋ ಅಂತ... ಆದ್ರು ನನ್ನ ನಸೀಬ್ ಏನು ಕಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಎದ್ದು ನೋಡ್ತೆನೀ, ಮಗ ನಂಕಿ ಮೊದಲ ಎದ್ದು ಬೆಡ್ರೂಮ್ ಕಿಡಕಿ ನೋಡ್ಕೊಂತ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ !!! ಹೋಗ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕೋ ಆವಾಜ್ ಮಾಡ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಲ್ಲ-ಗಿಲ್ಲ ತಿಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಚಾ ಕುಡದು, ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮಗನ ಜೋಡಿ ಆಟ ಆಡಿ ಆಫಿಸಗೆ ಹೋಗುನು ಅಂತ ಬ್ರುಶ್ ಬಾಯಾಗ್ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದ ತಡ, "ಅಆವ್ ಅಆವ್ " ಅಂದ ನೋಡ್ರಿ ಚಿಟಿಮ್ಯ. ಭರ ಭರ, ಘಸ ಘಸ ಅಂತ ಹಲ್ಲ ತಿಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಮತ್ತ ಪಾಳೆ ಶುರು!!! 

ಮತ್ತ ನಮ್ಮಕಿ ಚಾ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಟ್ಳು, ಏನ್ ಮಾಡ್ತೀರಿ, ನನ್ನ ಜಿಂದಗಿ ಒಳಗ ಅಸ್ಟ ಜಲ್ದಿ ಚಾ ಕುಡದಾವ ಅಲ್ಲ ನಾ, ಅವತ್ತು ೨ ಮಿಂಟ ಒಳಗ ವಾಟೆ ಖಾಲಿ!

ಹೆಂತಿ ಕಯ್ಯಾಗ್ ಕೂಸನ ಕೊಟ್ಟ, ಜಳಕ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅರಿಬಿ ಇಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಮಾಡಿ , ಕಾಟ ಮ್ಯಾಲ್ ಇಟ್ಟು, ದೀಪ ಹಚ್ಚಿ, ವಾಪಸ್ ಅರಿಬಿ ಹಕ್ಕೊಳುನು ಅಂತ ರೂಮಿಗಿ ಬನ್ನಿ ನೋಡ್ರಿ... ಸುಪುತ್ರ ನನ್ನ ಇಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅರಿಬಿ ಮ್ಯಾಲ್ ಸೂಸು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ನೋಡ್ರಿ.... 

Open(Source)?

There was one process in my mind which was consuming too much of my brain's memory... from past several months, the word Open(source).

First few things that came in my mind were Linux, Java, Apache Software Foundation. These are the worlds most popular opensource softwares/vendors, and also most respected in open community.

But finding exact meaning of Open is little difficult, then I thought lets start from other end Closed! When you goto any house, and if you can't see anything inside that house that has no open windows, doors, ventilators etc., and you can see or sense anything only when some one from that house wants to show or share with you, that is closed. Any software you want to use/choose and you don't have control on it, then it is closed source.

Now coming back to the Open world. When compared with closed, I see no house, doors, windows etc here, because you don't need anybody's permission to see, sense or to depend on.

So 2 main categories in the industry,
1. Open
2. Closed

so why this categorization? why can't we have one? only Open? If that would have been the case then you'd have never seen Microsoft, Apple, Oracle or similar big giants on this planet, right? It clearly says if you're selfish and wants to earn money, and money and money. Then you are closed.

I traveled recently in a public transport bus, and didn't get much excited with the services they offered. but later when I traveled in a private bus, they offered me a quite spacious seats, good waiting room, stops at better hotels for food etc., why? because every one is paid high there. Starting from myself, I paid big amount to the service provider, he paid to his employees. Every one was happy there, I paid little extra but was happy with what I got, and everyone else were happy because they too got paid more.

Having said that, I came to a conclusion that anything around us is totally driven by money. You pay more, you get better than before. But, when you go to a temple/church/mosque or any place for worship, we even think the same way how we think of private service providers!!! Is that the only money that drives the world? then who created opensource? and why? and how do they get paid? how do they run their daily lives? I really appreciate those who are contributing to this OPENSOURCE world, they might have open sourced the code for many reasons but what they did was really a nice job. and they are the real millionaires or billionaires, we should remember them and salute them.

ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಜನರ ತಲೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೆ
ಅಜ್ಜನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಜನ ಬಂದೆ ಬರುತ್ತೆ 
ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ತೊಲಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೆ
ಭಾರತ ಇನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧಾರ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ

Ha ha ha...

Johny made a clever move... He graduated, got job worked hard and started earning good money. But surely he also started enjoying the leisure that he can not even afford, loans, credit cards, mortgages etc

But one bad day... economy hit worst in the world... layoffs, cost cuts... etc... and Johny, a hard working guy, an efficient employee... too got laid off. What next? So many tensions at a time, no job... but credit card bills. No work but still need to do some thing, house was mortgaged. No way left that working again by hook or cook. But you know Johny already, a clever, efficient, hard working guy. He got job again. But this time, he faced the worse of finances nearly, and luckily got back to track.

Now, he has paid most of his liabilities and now with plenty of cash in hand along with some affordable luxuries.

1. Insured enough, which is the highest luxury that his future can promise
2. A car, not top brand top end car but, its a car right? with no loan on it.
3. Housing loan, pre-paying much of its outstanding amount
4. Noooooooooooooooot a single credit card. Means no heavy interests
5. A small but affordable stocks in the share market with quite a good returns
6. Mutual funds, not so less but still planned for future savings

Remaining amount, ENJOYING with his fullest extent.

Is everyone a Johny? if yes... its good, else when are you planning to be Johny or replace him by doing better plan than him?

Dreams are dreamed in milli seconds, but to achieve them... requires hours, days, years together. Hence, any thing to be achieved should be planned... not every thing can be planned but do whats under your control. Rest all is covered by the almighty.

ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಏರು ಪೆರಿನ ನಡುವೆ

ಒಂದಾನೊಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಮುಸ್ಸಂಜೆ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಂತಕೊಂಡು ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳ್ತಿದ್ರು , ರಾಜ, ಹುಲಿ, ಸಿಂಹ, ಕಾಡು-ಮೇಡು... ಅದು ಇದು. ಆಹಾ ಹೆಂಗ ಇರತಿತ್ತು ಆ ದಿನಾ ...
ಈಗ ಜನಾ ಹೆಂಗ ಅದಾರ ಅಂದ್ರ ಬೆಳಗಾದ್ರ ಶೇರ್ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟ್ ಚಾನೆಲ್ ಹಚ್ಚಕೊಂಡ moneycontrol .com ಓಪನ್ ಮಾಡ್ಕೊಂಡ್ ಶಿವಾ ಅಂತ ಕುಂದರತಾರ.

ನಮ್ಮ ಈ ತಳಿ(ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ನ್ಯಾಗ್ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಂದ್ರ generation) ಮುದುಕರಾದ ಮ್ಯಾಲ ಕಥಿ ಹೆಂಗ ಇರಬಹುದು ಅಂತ ಊಹಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ರ ನಂಗ ಹಿಂಗ ಅನಸ್ತೆತಿ ನೋಡ್ರಿ

ಆವಾಗ ರಾಮು ಅನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಶಾನೆ ಹುಡುಗ ಅದನ್ನ ನಡಿಸ್ತಿದ್ದ, ಏನೋ ಬೆವರ ಸುರಿಸಿ ಏ.ಸಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂತ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಚೊಲೋ ಹೆಸರ ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದ. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇರಾಕ್ ಐಶಾರಾಮಿ ಮನೆ, ತಿರುಗಾಡಾಕ ಕಾರು, ಬಂಗಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಇತ್ತು.

ಮೊಮ್ಮಗ : ಅಜ್ಜ ಹಂಗ ಅಂದ್ರ ರಾಮು ಏನ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡ್ತಿದ್ದ ?

ಅಜ್ಜ : ಅವ ಸರ್ವಿಸ್ ಮಾಡ್ತಿತ್ತ, ಅಂದ್ರ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಾಫ್ತ್ವರೆ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಡಕ್ಟು ಮತ್ತ ಸರ್ವಿಸ್ ಔಟ್ ಸೌರ್ಸ ಮಾಡಿಸ್ಕೊಂಡ ರೊಕ್ಕ ಗಳಿಸ್ತಿದ್ದ
ಖರೆ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಏನಾಯ್ತು ಅಂದ್ರ, ರಾಮು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಶಾನೆತನ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ನಾ ಈಗ ಭಾರಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಜೋಡಿ ಕೆಲಸಾ ಮಾಡಾವ ಅದೇನಿ, ಮತ್ತ ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ರೊಕ್ಕ ಐತಿ, ಅದು ಐತಿ, ಇದು ಐತಿ ಅಂತ ಸುಳ್ಳ ಹೇಳಿ, ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗು ಸುದ್ದಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ
ಆಗ ಮಂದಿ, "ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಲ್ಲ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿವಿ", ಅದಕ್ಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾರು ಹೋಗಿ ರಾಮು ನೀ ಅದನ್ನ ಮಾಡು, ನೀ ಇದನ್ನ ಮಾಡು... ನಿಂಗ ಎಷ್ಟ ರೊಕ್ಕ ಬೇಕು ತೊಗೋ... ಖರೆ ನಂಗ ಲಾಭ ಮಾಡು ಅಂತ ರೊಕ್ಕ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ... ಆದ್ರ ರಾಮು ಏನ ಮಾಡತಾನ, ಎಲ್ಲ ರೊಕ್ಕ ಗಂಟ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಇನ್ನೊಂದ ಜಾಗ ಕಳಿಸು ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡ್ತಾನ, ಪುತ್ರ ವ್ಯಾಮೋಹ ನೋಡು , ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗು ಇರುದನ... ಆವಾಗ ಏನೋ ರೊಕ್ಕ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರ ನಸೀಬ್, ರಾಮು ಸಿಕ್ಕೊಂಡ ಬಿದ್ದ .... ಖರೆ ಏನ್ ಮಾಡುದು ? ರೊಕ್ಕ ಎಷ್ಟ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತ ಯಾರ್ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು ಅಂತ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ .... ಖರೆ ರಾಮು ಅರೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಅಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ಸಿಕ್ಕಸ್ಟ ರೊಕ್ಕ ಕಿತಕೊಂಡ ಮಂದಿ ರಾಮುನಾ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು .... ರಾಮು ಹೊಡ ಜೈಲಿಗಿ, ಮಂದಿ ಹೋದರು ಮನಿಗೆ, ರೊಕ್ಕ ಹೋತು ಗಾಳಿಗೆ

ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೇ, ಈಗ ಹೇಳು ನಿಂಗೆ ಏನ್ ತಿಳೀತು ಈ ಕಥಿ ಕೇಳಿ ?

ಮೊಮ್ಮಗ : ಅಜ್ಜ,
ಮೊದಲು , ಅತೀ ಆಸೆ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು.
ಎರಡು, ಆಸೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ರು ಅದನ್ನ ಪೂರಾ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಮ್ಮ ಹತ್ರ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಐತೋ ಇಲ್ಲೋ ನೋಡ್ಬೇಕು, ಶಕ್ತಿ ಇದ್ದರು ಎಷ್ಟ ಐತಿ ಗೊತ್ತ ಇರಬೇಕು
ಮೂರೂ, ಆಮೇಲೆ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇರೆಯವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೈ ಚಾಚ ಬಾರದು
ನಾಲ್ಕು, ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಜನರನ್ನು ನಬಿ ಮೋಸ ಹೋಗ ಬಾರದು

ಅಜ್ಜ : ಎಲಾ ಮಗನೆ ಭಾರಿ ಶಾನೆ ಆಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ ನೀ ?

ಮೊಮ್ಮಗ : dude,  ಈ ಕಥೆ ನಾ ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್ ಒಳಗ ೪ ವರ್ಷ ಹಿಂದ ಒದೆನಿ, ಬ್ಯಾರೆ ಏನರೆ ಹೇಳಪ್ಪ ....

Are you secured? Are you earning enough? Are you spending too much for your joys? Are you insured?

The story begins like this, I was just roaming around the corners of Bangalore city on my lovely bike Pulsar... A water tanker that was just beside me, turned towards me and the other side of me was an Auto! I was horrified and was blowing horn like anything, yelling at the Water Tanker driver... and my bike touched slightly to the auto and I fell down. It was my luck and fate that saved me that day... There was a guy behind me In a car with loud music playing in his system and enjoying all the scene... he was playing safe... in his car.

My mind turned on, I thought of buying a car instead of taking risk in bikes. Just after marriage bought a car, a lovely car Santro... I looked at bikers and kept telling I was also like those once, now I am safe. Everything was fine, till the day again a truck driver negligently touched my car and made a dent on right side of my car... I quarreled with him and got 3000 Rs for whatever happened due to his negligence. Car got repaired for just 1700 Rs, and I was happy again. Some part of the expense was also taken care by Insurance Company, thank god I had an insurance on my car. And that was my first insurance claim in my life, I was really happy.

Few days later I was dropping my wife to her office and returning back, a red colored Maruti Zen, was found in the middle of the road, hit by a truck badly. The driver of the car was dead on spot. I dont know about other passengers in the car. I was really really scared now.

To become safe, I left driving bike, bought car paying 3,00,000 Rs extra money. And now, still I feel unsecured.

I then realized that, its not how many guards you carry along with you, nor how safest car you travel in, nor which safest route you travel daily, nor how you organize your daily routine to its safest extent. But it is how you are ensuring that all the safety, risks are covered or taken care or Insured!!!!!

I bought insurances Term Insurance, Health Insurance and some ULIP (Unit Linked Insurance Policy) investment insurances etc., and made sure I paid the premiums on time even by skipping gas for my car sometimes.

Now I drive my car even safer way than earlier.
